Bilingual Spanish+English Social Media Outreach Expert
We are a fast-growing, Hollywood-based digital word-of-mouth agency seeking to assemble a team of experienced Social Media Outreach Experts who are fluent in Spanish & English. This is a casual yet fast-paced office. We are offering a terrific opportunity for the right candidates.
You must satisfy the following qualifications:
- Are you fluent in both English and Spanish?
- Have you worked for M80, Fanscape, DEI Worldwide, American Pop or other Southern California-based digital word-of-mouth shops?
- If not, have you worked for studios, ad agencies or marketing companies where you did community outreach to create “buzz” for clients?
- Have you ever been hired to promote awareness for a product or service using word-of-mouth marketing through blogs, Facebook or Twitter?
- Are you an expert in all aspects of social media marketing?
- Do you know how to “reach”, “engage” and “ignite” genuine online conversations with leading bloggers, key influencers and other online leaders?
- Are you experienced in reaching out to online communities such as blogs, posts, Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, message boards and video-sharing sites?
- Have you ever communicated with top bloggers?
- Do you spend a good amount of time on Facebook, Twitter and/or YouTube?
- Do you have experience doing online market research? using PowerPoint? working with spreadsheets?
- Do you have experience with creating (and running) social media activation strategies?
- Have you worked directly with brands, agencies and partners to support clients and their deliverables with social media marketing strategies?
- Do you have more than 500 Facebook friends?
- Do you type at least 100 words per minute?
- Do you know how online digital PR works?

Sales Professional & Business Development Expert (Hollywood)
We are a fast-growing, Hollywood-based digital word-of-mouth agency seeking a “closer” with proven experience in selling social media marketing services. Our clients and prospects are top-tier national advertising agencies, Fortune 1000 brands and entertainment companies.
You will lead our sales and new business development team, working from our casual/fun offices, located in Hollywood. Your compensation will include a generous commission structure.
To be considered, you must possess the following skills:
- Industry knowledge of social media
- 1-2 years experience in similar sales/business development positions
- A self-starter
- A proven “closer”
- Great phone and in-person “people skills”
- Superb follow-up and networking skills
- Professional approach & style
- Ability to schedule and conduct Webinar sessions with targeted prospects
- Update management on progress status
- Ability to write impressive email solicitations and follow-up notes
- Ability to follow up on existing leads as well as research new prospects
- Experienced with mass email marketing campaigns
- PR background helpful – but not necessary
- Agency background helpful – but not necessary
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Proficiency on MS office, especially MS PowerPoint and spreadsheets
- Outgoing, positive, honest, loyal and dependable
- Great research skills, hunting down new leads and making “cold calls” as necessary
- Working side-by-side with other agency staff to create PowerPoint proposals and follow-up materials
Assignment is Monday through Friday, from our casual and creative offices in Hollywood. Telecommuting is a possibility for the right candidate. Commission structure TBD, based on experience. Position is currently open.

Press and Public Relations – Freelance Associate
We are currently seeking a Freelance/Part-Time PR expert to help us gain more press and exposure for our fast-growing social-media marketing agency.
If you can answer yes to all of these questions, Marketingworks wants to hear from you:
- Are you an expert in social-media channels?
- Are you able to write press releases that are picked up by online and print outlets?
- Have you booked speaking engagement for your clients?
- Do you have a rolodex of leading editors, publishers and trade-magazines?
This position does not require in-office participation. This can be a “virtual” office assignment.
